What affects the price of a drywall repair?

  • Size and number of holes or damaged areas
  • Ceiling vs. wall — ceiling work costs more due to access and prep
  • Texture type — knockdown and popcorn take longer than smooth
  • Paint match, priming, and full-wall repainting if requested
  • Access — high ceilings, stairwells, and tight spaces add labor
  • Water or mold remediation before the drywall work begins

Small drywall repair cost

Small repairs — nail pops, hairline cracks, doorknob dings, anchor pull-outs — usually run $75 to $150. If you have several small spots in one visit, we bundle them at a lower per-spot rate.

Is drywall repair covered by insurance?

Sudden, accidental damage — a burst pipe, roof leak, or storm damage — is often covered. Cosmetic wear and settling cracks usually aren't. We provide itemized estimates formatted for insurance claims when you need one.
